I was saddened when one friend had to put down his dog. His dog was 11 years old and she had cancer. They sent her to be put to sleep.

I remembered that Cookie is 10 years old this year. And I wanted to do something to remember him before he goes to Far-Away-Land.

He came to me as a White Christmas present in Dec 1998. Before Cookie came, Christopher already brought me around to the pet shop (in Nov) to look at the dogs there. I told him that I prefer Maltese to Beagles. So, Christopher waited for the next batch of dogs to arrive. When Chris' bonus came, he spent it on the Maltese dog, milk powder, leash, pet food and training kit. It came to a whopping $950, just $50 shy of $1k.

Cookie was so tiny that I was afraid of hurting him.
